Introduction and How This Works
So I thought I'd give having a blog another try. We'll see how this goes, as I have two failed blogs behind me and a kitten sitting in front of my screen hiding the words from me.
Regardless of past writing attempts, with this blog I intend to start with one post a week on Saturdays. What I post will vary between short stories, writing tips, and updates on how my current projects are going.
A little about the author:
I'm an accountant at a small private airport and study for my CPA tests between writing, DND nights, and work. I'm the proud owner of an eleven-year-old border collie/lab rescue named Layola, and a tortoiseshell of unknown age(the vet says two but the amount of gray in her fur says otherwise) named Shelly. Also in my household are my roommate(hereafter referred to as roomie), and her cats Jack and Ronald.
I like to travel and have been to roughly 45 states and 10 countries. I hope to take another trip to England in the next few years to visit family and scope out my family's heritage sites.
At the moment I'm working on a science fiction/fantasy trilogy called the Fae Queen's Court. I've finished the first book in the series, Haven, and am in the process of querying and trying to get it published. The second book in the series is called Avalon and I'm currently sitting pretty at 73k words with the end tantalizingly close in sight. With luck, I hope to finish it up in the next few months.
That's enough for now, but be sure to check back in next week where I'll give a little insight to what, exactly, Haven and Avalon are about and how they qualify for the dual genres of science fiction and fantasy.
If you have any questions be sure to leave them in the comments and I'll answer them next week!
